The IB-525-U3 is an external enclosure for 5.25″ SATA drives or hard drive mobile racks. Whether you want to use a DVD, Blu-ray™ or an old CD drive, these devices will find a new home in this sleek, black aluminium enclosure. Even internal mobile racks can now be used externally. With USB 3.2 Gen 1, a data transfer rate of up to 5 Gbit/s is available, which can be established via a USB Type-C® or Type-A connection to the host computer.
For standard DVD or Blu-ray™ drives
You still have a drive available from your old desktop PC? Or a standard DVD or Blu-ray™ drive? That’s great, because you can now simply use them externally by inserting the drive into the IB-525-U3. The ICY BOX enclosure is suitable for all 5.25″ SATA drives.
Flexible use
Not only standard DVD or Blu-ray™ drives can now be used externally with the IB-525-U3, but the functional case can also be used to accommodate mobile racks in 5.25″ format. This means that one or the other piece of hardware can be brought back to life.
